Knit, Purl, Sniffle, Cough

I’ve been fighting a cold the past few days and it appears I’m losing. It’s been going around our household and everyone else seems to be better. At least somewhat. I hope I’m not far behind.

Here’s me with a cold:

Day 1. “I’m not sick. It’s probably just allergies.”

Day 2. “It’s just a little sniffle. I’ll ignore it.”

Day 3. “Ugh. I’m sick.”

Day 4. “I feel terrible.”

Day 5. “Is this cold ever going to end?”

Day 6. “I think I’m starting to get better.”

Day 7. “I don’t feel too bad today.”

Day 8. “OMG! Look at all the work that piled up while I was sick!”

So until I feel better there will be endless cups of hot tea, four different flavors of throat lozenges, a box of tissues in every room in the house, and TV binge watching.  And, of course, lots of knitting.  Nothing too complicated because my brain is too fuzzy for that. I managed to finish a pair of socks and I’m proudly wearing them today.

I’m also working on my Hitchhiker Shawl. It’s an easy project with some increases and bind-offs at the beginning and end of the rows, with just some plain knit stitch through the middle. Later I might take a break from the tiny #2 needles and work on some worsted-weight hats for a change.

I hope you are all well. Spring is just around the corner.
