I thought you might like to see where I work. (But if you don’t then just skip this post.) I call it Knitting Central. The rest of the family calls it the living room. Most of my supplies are in another room, but I like to sit here on the sofa and look out into the back yard. It’s very calming and peaceful.
The top right corner is Wedding Central. Darling Daughter’s wedding is less than three months away. We are meeting a couple of times a week to check things off the list and hand out new assignments. If we don’t hit a major glitch and neither one of us panics we should be OK.
There’s a box of yarn and finished projects at the top left. Just under it is my current pattern. There’s a little blue dish that has a couple of tapestry needles and some stitch markers. And next to that is my stitch counter, scissors, and a crochet hook. Tavin the yarn bowl is holding my double pointed needles. There’s an almost-finished mini Christmas stocking. I just have to weave in the ends on this one. There is also my ever present mug of tea. I keep a pen and note pads close by for when inspiration strikes. My favorite project bag with the Fab Four and my iPad mini to look up whatever pops into my head complete my work area.
A place for everything and everything in its place.
